I also have MO set to manage archives so the ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated.bsa is loaded at the top of everything. The most important thing I had to do was go into modify executables, make one for steam.exe, and in the arguments box have -applaunch 22330 in there so it launches Oblivion (with OBSE). Getting MO to work with everything was also a pain but worth it in the end to keep installing and uninstalling mods much simpler in the end. I also have used BethINI, and everything with texture files below have been optimized andor resized with DDSOpt as necessary (using the STEP Wiki settings for Skyrim as a starting point).
